The ‘Rally for Health’ Project

The ‘Rally for Health’ serves to raise awareness and educate the public, which is closely linked to the mission of the Wiesława Adamiec Carita Foundation. We aim to raise awareness of the disease by promoting a positive message – portraying patients as socially active, physically fit individuals who enjoy life. We want to show that a haematological and oncological patient is not an excluded person. With the right treatment, patients are able to return to normal life and even do things they didn’t do before their illness. They are ready to take on challenges – not just cycling challenges, but the most important ones of all: the fight for life and health.”

The Rally is for everyone

“I haven’t had to give up any of my hobbies. I work full-time and enjoy cycling. The rally is for everyone, because nothing is impossible.” – Grzegorz Rakowiecki, project initiator, a beneficiary of the Wiesława Adamiec Carita Foundation

Grzegorz was diagnosed with myeloma and decided he wouldn’t give up. He found out he had myeloma in 2017, when the disease was already at a very advanced stage. As he himself says, an active lifestyle makes it easier to beat the disease. Alongside medical treatment, it is one of the keys to overcoming the illness.
